The Regional Planning Commission is located in the Amoco Building near the Louisiana Superdome, at 1340 Poydras Street, in the New Orleans Central Business District.

The Amoco Building is located directly across Poydras Street from the rear entrance to New Orleans City Hall. Our offices are in Suite 2100.

The Amoco Building is wheelchair accessible with accessible restroom facilities. These facilities are located on the 14th floor (next to Suite 1450) and the 20th floor (just past Suite 2010).

 Public Parking:

At this time, parking at the Louisiana Superdome is limited to contract parking. The most convenient nearby parking is available at the Poydras Plaza Parking Garage, 1301 Girod Street. The entrance to this parking garage is about halfway between Loyola Avenue and S. Liberty Street (and what was the rear entrance to Macy's).  Map (a PDF file)

Directions from the parking garage to the Amoco Building:

Indoor Route: You may take the (mostly) indoor route to the RPC using the elevators at the rear of the parking garage. Take the elevator to the second floor of the Hyatt Building. Proceed to the ENI Petroleum Building. Take the escalator to the first floor and exit at the rear doors. The Amoco Building is just across the sidewalk from there.

Outdoor Route: Walk to Girod Street, then turn right and walk to S. Liberty Street. Turn right, then walk along the covered walkway that runs along the back entrance of the Hyatt Hotel. This will take you to Poydras Street. Turn right when you get to Poydras Street and walk to the Amoco Building at 1340 Poydras Street. Map to Amoco Building (a PDF file)

Directions from the Airport:

From the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, just follow signs along Interstate 10 directing you to downtown New Orleans and the Louisiana Superdome. When exiting I-10, the roadway will take you directly behind the Superdome. Take a left and circle around to the right along the front of the Superdome to Poydras Street. The Amoco Building is in the next block.

Coming in via other routes the directions are pretty much the same --- just follow signage directing you to downtown New Orleans and to the Superdome and proceed from there.
