Commission Meetings Public Parking

NEXT MEETING: Tuesday, September 9th

The Transportation Policy Committee (TPC) will meet at 12:30 PM.

The meeting of the Regional Planning Commission will immediately follow the meeting of the TPC.

Location: Conference Room, 21st floor of the Amoco Building, 1340 Poydras Street, New Orleans.

PUBLIC PARKING

At this time, parking at the Louisiana Superdome is limited to contract parking.

Note: The New Orleans Centre Parking Garage recently opened to the public. It is located on Girod Street at Lasalle Street (across from the back entrance of the former Macy's department store). The elevators, however, are not in operation. An Early Bird parking rate of $3 per day is available. (In before 9 AM, Out by 6 PM)

The most-convenient public parking is available at the Poydras Plaza Parking Garage, 1301 Girod Street. The entrance to this parking lot is about halfway between Loyola Avenue and S. Liberty Street, near what was the back entrance to Macy's department store.

Directions from the parking garage to the Amoco Building

Indoor Route: You may take the (mostly) indoor route to the RPC using the elevators at the rear of the parking garage. Take the elevator to the second floor of the Hyatt Building. Proceed left to the ENI Petroleum Building; sinage for this building reads, "1250 Poydras Building."

Take the escalator to the first floor and exit at rear doors. The Amoco Building is just across the sidewalk from there.

Outdoor Route: Walk to Girod Street, then turn right and walk to S. Liberty Street. Turn right, then walk along the covered walkway that runs along the back entrance of the Hyatt Hotel. This will take you to Poydras Street. Turn right when you get to Poydras Street and walk to the Amoco Building at 1340 Poydras Street. Map (a PDF file)

Parking Map for Outdoor Route

The Amoco Building is wheelchair accessible with accessible restroom facilities. These are located on the 14th floor (next to Suite 1450) and the 20th floor (just past Suite 2010).
